In 1931 some guy named Lemaitre said that the universe began as a simple "primeval atom", "perhaps echoing previous speculations about the cosmic egg origin of the universe." (aka Big Bang)

Know what I think about that guy? He's an idiot.

Here's why: http://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/

Ande,

How do you know HOW God make the earth. Couldn't he have started with a molecule and said; " DO IT " and BANG there was the earth. You don't know

You make a good point. God very well could have said DO IT and BANG there it was.

But the presupposition of most of the scientific community is that Big Bang came from itself; that it was an independent accident that occurred out of happenstance and coincidence.

With that said, all of the intricacies of our universe are now "explained" by an accidental cosmic egg that just happened to explode and make perfection...which is obviously inconceivable! Not to mention the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics- order to disorder, not disorder to order (perfection).

Anyway, I think your point is that God could very well have used that cosmic egg to explode and make perfection. If that's your point, then I guess I could go along with that cause I have no idea how God created the earth. But I won't readily state that the big bang theory holds any weight because its' purpose is to rebuke creationism.

Yeah girl, I was just joshing you. I keep forgetting you can't detect sarcasm in writing.

Crap! See, I had a feeling you you were joking. I was like, "Hmmm I must have hit a nerve with her..." haha. Ok sweet. Well, now you know about the 2nd law of thermodynamics just in case you need to like, whip it out at a party with all your lawyer friends...even though the 2 are completely unrelated, which would make it funny.
::Lindsay to a lawyer:: "Ever heard of the 2nd LAW of thermodynamics?" Oh gosh, what a tangent.
